How to get a good night’s sleep
*A ritual bath is a great way to set the stage for a good night’s sleep. Bath oils, incense and candles help to bring a sense of calm and peace after a long day. Try to clear your mind from chatter and just enjoy the sensory experience.
*Some say that adding rose quartz to your bath can enhance relaxation. Also, amethyst under your pillow can ease your sleep.
*Herbal teas can be an invaluable addition to your bedtime ritual. Teas that contain lemon balm, chamomile, skullcap, lavender, hibiscus flowers, valerian root, and passionflower are just a few of the herbs that can ease you into a beneficial night’s rest.
*I have mixed feelings about reading in bed. Sometimes I will pass out right away, other times I get so caught up in the book that I find myself enthralled at 4:00 am just to see what happens next!
*Some gentle yoga an hour or so before bed is relaxing for some people. You would want to avoid anything too “active” like backbends but everyone is different.
Does anyone else have any suggestions?
